That is to say, he bears no scars what­so­ev­er. The Lom have skin composed of fer­ro­mag­net­ic liquid. You can’t cut liquid, and liquid cuts don’t scar. But make no mistake, Hmph has been in many a scrape… no, that doesn’t work, either. Hmph has been through a lot. Solar erup­tions, the passive-aggres­sive water­falls of Rigel VII, the trans­di­men­sion­al stomachs of a Thalosian space cow… and yet, the only thing that ever scared him was Terran microwave popcorn. Explod­ing food. It just doesn’t seem right.
